Cohiba Siglo De Oro - Year of the Rabbit

Habanos' flagship brand is Cohiba. It was built for President Fidel Castro himself in 1966 at the El Laguito facility, which is today renowned worldwide but was once classified as top secret. Initially, it was only perceived as presents for visiting diplomats and heads of state outside of Cuba. Cohiba has been on the open market in small amounts since 1982. The newest and most creative addition to the renowned Cohiba cigar line, it commemorates the 30th anniversary of Cohiba's Siglo Line and the Year of the Rabbit. Measuring 114 mm by 54 ring gauge, this release is a remarkable, unique vitola called exitosos, the first for any Cuban cigar to date. Another distinctive aspect of the Siglo the Oro is that it is the first of its kind (in the cigar industry) to use NFC technology. This means that cigar enthusiasts may use their phones to scan a box and confirm its authenticity straight on Habanos' website or mobile app.
